To gain access to the SIGNAL APP, download it from one of the App Stores (Apple or Google). After registering the app, contact Ken Green (kgreen_98@yahoo.com). Provide him with your name and cell phone number. It's that simple.
User Guidelines
1. While you can access the app at any time, please, no texting before 8:00 AM or after 9 PM
A. If you're looking for ride information, it is posted on the SC-HOG website, Facebook Page or distributed in the weekly eBlast.
B. As an exception Road Captains can post last minute changes to their scheduled rides at any time.
2. This app is intended for SC-HOG ride information only.
3. No personal texting
A. As a common guideline, if the text is not kind, true or necessary, please refrain from sending it. This app is not a venue to air issues with other members or chapter leadership.
B. Please use another media to address such issues. Try one-on-one contact or reach out to SC-HOG leadership. Chapter officers will do their best to resolve chapter issues within our group.
YOUR CONCERN WILL NOT GO UNANSWERED.
4. Be as clear and concise as possible.
A. An aspect of group texting is people can oftentimes go on and on. This takes up others' time and becomes non value added to the group. We want to respect becomes non value added to the group. We want to respect everyone's time.
5. If you have any suggestions or improvements for our SC-HOG organization, please do not use this app.
A. Bring such ideas directly to Georgia either directly (her email address is in every eBlast) and/or at our monthly chapter meeting.
6. Lastly, don't text on the app while driving - or riding. Be safe!!!
Final Thoughts
This app is a proven, wonderful tool for communicating our rides. So please, as a group, adhere to these guidelines. They are set to respect everyone's time and privacy. We greatly appreciate everyone complying so we can keep the SIGNAL APP as a method for communicating ride information. Let's ride and have fun.
